Gaffers is a definite go to if youβre in the area around Lockport Manitoba. They have a wonderful restaurant and lounge with plenty of patio seating upstairs and down. On this occasion, I went to the upstairs patio and was greeted with an airshow by the beautiful pelicans that frequent the area. This place is set up very well except for one glaring omission. There is no beer on tap. This place screams for beer on tap. It has the ambience, the VLTβs and the TVs for watching sports and having a freshly poured pint. Service was a little bit slow, but they had just opened and at the time there was only one server. Very pleasant lady who didnβt mind climbing the spiral staircase that leads to the upstairs patio. I had a beef brisket sandwich with fries and a bottled beer. The brisket was kind of dry, which is why I rated the food three stars. The gravy I ordered with the fries helped out with that. Speaking of fries, they are hand, cut, and seasoned very well. I wouldβve preferred less seasoning as I am trying to cut down on my salt, but it was very flavorful. It seems to be a place that a lot of of Motorcycle riders tend to frequent in the summer. Myself included. All in all a very nice visit and I will go there again. I just wonβt order the beef brisket. Highly recommended.

Truly an amazing place to visit, with awesome people and food. Update:December 31,2018 Took our family here for News Years. The food was amazing. However, it took four hrs to have our meal for a $390.00 bill. Our waitress was extremely polite, professional and extremely attentive. But she appeared to have a few large parties that took the majority of her time. For a New Years event, one would think they would have more staff on. This restaurant is a favourite place for our family. So kinda disappointed with the service. But overall we had an amazing time and enjoyed the life music.
Quick soup and beer lunch. Bacon cabbage soup was seasoned perfectly! I want another bowl! Defiantly gonna stop here for patio and lunch again!
